<p>To stop Word making these corrections click on &#8216;Tools&#8217;, &#8216;AutoCorrect Options&#8217; and remove the ticks next to &#8216;Capitalise first letters of sentences&#8217; and &#8216;Capitalise first letter of table cells&#8217; then click on &#8216;OK&#8217;.</p>
